C. TESSILE

Linen plays a key role in the A/W 22-23 collection

Established in 1925 in the Como silk district, C. Tessile is a historic Italian company specialized in the manufacturing of high-end fabrics.
Family values such as passion, know-how and entrepreneurial intuition, combined with quality and service, made the Company increasingly successful over time, increasing its presence on the international market.
C.Tessile started as a leader in classic men's shirting fabrics and is now considered a global player in the textile market thanks to the group’s portfolio of brands.
The products range from the finest cotton to technical man-made fibers, from wool to linen, from prints to piece-dyed fabrics, from yarn-dyed to jacquard and knits. The offering also includes indigo and Blue 1925 denim to complete the range of cross-generational fabrics.
All fabrics are manufactured using the most advanced technologies and constantly updated by research and development.
Canclini1925’s sales network covers the world.

Which are the flagship products of the A/W 22/23 collection?
After several studies and experiments, we are very proud to present two items for the Autumn/Winter season 22-23 that are made

of 100% linen, a timeless and versatile

fabric that we have reinterpreted to adapt

it to the winter season. More specifically,

these are SIR and LIONE BRUSH, part of

the Canclini 1925 and Blu 1925 Collection, respectively, the latter more casual and informal.

What characteristics make these products innovative?
These products are made entirely of linen and come in a gauze version. We have applied a special treatment to make it possible for them to be worn even when temperatures are low. Therefore, linen is no longer strictly summery, but can be used in different ways and style combinations.
The result is a warm and enveloping fabric especially recommended for the cooler autumn days. We should consider that linen boasts excellent characteristics in terms of insulation, thanks to its reduced thermal conductivity. In a nutshell, we have produced linen shirts that provide the right degree of warmth and protection.
The product range is also broad in terms of color palette and patterns. In this regard, we offer not only the classic weaves, such as stripes and checks that best satisfy aficionados of casual style, but also many timeless winter hues, such as blue, gray and brown, elegantly softened by the natural streaks of the fiber.

Is it a sustainable product?
Compared to other fibers, flax does not extract as many nutrients from the soil as other plants. For this reason, it is considered one of the most sustainable. After harvesting, the entire plant is used in various ways. It is completely recyclable and biodegradable. And there’s more! All C.Tessile lines promote sustainability as a key value. To us, sustainability doesn’t only mean organic yarns and certifications, but changes that we have applied to our business model in order to become more prudent and responsible in terms of the quantity of materials produced, stocks, and, consequently, pollution resulting from the manufacturing process or waste generationTo us, sustainability doesn’t only mean organic yarns and certifications, but changes that we have applied to our business model in order to become more prudent and responsible in terms of the quantity of materials produced, stocks, and, consequently, pollution resulting from the manufacturing process or waste generation. Our consolidated know-how, historical archive and the availability of raw materials enable us to draw inspiration from the yarns in stock to create new products. We have researched and developed a fabric with the primary objective of avoiding wasting material that already exists and can be used straight away. This is the lesson of sustainability that we have learned during this year-long reflective lockdown.

Are you going to implement a dedicated communication campaign?
We thought about it and the answer is yes. We have developed a launch project to be executed across all the dedicated channels. Specifically, we will focus communication about the two new products especially through the social media, newsletters and PR activities. The goal is raising public awareness about the use of yarns and fabrics that have so far been used only in certain seasons. We have transformed them into something new and suitable for the autumn season, too.

Whom are your products targeted to?
This is a very versatile product that can be used both for an informal and casual style. Ideal for all those looking for a special flannel! This product is also addressed to those brands that put sustainability at the core. Two products with the same composition, but conceived and developed for different items. SIR is suitable for a traditional casual and informal shirt that can also be reinterpreted in an Overshirt version. LINONE BRUSH is instead heavier (12oz) and is designed for Overshirts, but can also be used for structured jackets and coats in an elegant and casual style.
