Circular economy
An increasingly current model
Glossary - MU Sustainable Innovation
A circular economy is the new alternative to the traditional linear economy, with development models in which materials and resources can be returned to their natural cycle or reutilized, as opposed to being consumed and/or transformed into waste. It thus envisions actions such as recycling, reuse, repair and anything that can extend the life cycle of materials and products, characteristics that must be included during the planning stage (eco-design).
