Innovation Area at Milano Unica

For years now, the opinion has been established that technological innovation, spread in a synergistic way both along the supply chain and in collateral services, is fundamental for the development of the Textile Clothing sector. Responding to this growing need, TexClubTec - the Technical and Innovative Textiles section of Sistema Moda Italia - presents, in the Innovation Area, an articulated vision of both the various applications of innovative, functional and technical textiles and the potential of new technologies for the sector.

 

In the Innovation Area, located in Hall 3,  companies representing the entire production chain of technical textiles, from raw materials to the finished product, and suppliers of cutting-edge technologies and processes, will showcase their latest innovations. This edition the Exhibition Forum will be focused on “Advanced textile materials and AI technologies for fashion applications”

2A SPA-Nyguard has been active in the production of zippers since 1938. It has two production facilities: one in Turin, Italy, to serve customers in Europe and the Mediterranean, and one in Jiaxing, China, for the Middle and Far East. Born as a company for the processing of down (washing and selection), destined to become padding material for bedding products (pillows, quilts, ...), sofas, wind jackets and sleeping bags. During the 1980s the company decided to diversify production by opening a department for the manufacturing of bed items, distributed under its own brand or with the customer's brand (so-called "private label"). During the 90s, due to the ever-increasing scarcity of raw material (down), it was decided to open a department for the processing of polyester, thus expanding the offer to include alternative padding materials. In the early years of the last decade the last production department was opened: a textile finishing specialized in the processing of technical fabrics to contain down.

Founded in 1955 and based in Cittadella, Imbotex Srl is an Italian leading manufacturer of natural, recycled and technological textile PADDINGS. The company is organized into two divisions: paddings for Bedding and Furnishings and paddings/high performance insulations for Fashion, Sportswear and Workwear. These two sectors operate in synergy with each other, thanks to an ongoing exchange of manufacturing technologies and know-how.
