Milano Unica February 2019 results
Exhibitors and buyers satisfied
The 28th edition of Milano Unica, dedicated to the Spring/Summer 2020 collections, recorded satisfying results in terms of attendance and interest.
The variety of the presented collections of fabrics and accessories generated positive reactions from Italian and international buyers and exhibitors expressed their satisfaction for the quality and number of contacts established.
The number of visitors held steady, with 6,000 Italian and international companies and a significant increase in the number of Asian and European visitors: Japan (+15%), Korea (+5%), United Kingdom (+5%), Poland (+16%), Rumania (+11%), Spain (+5%), with the USA and Germany holding the line. This increase made up for the slight decrease in the number of Chinese companies, due mostly to scheduling conflicts with their New Year celebrations.
Particular attention was dedicated to the theme-based content proposals, like the Sustainability Project, focusing on “Sustainable Innovation,” which testified to the central role played by companies as drivers in fostering sustainable innovation, increasing the visibility of those companies that are leading in the application of integrated management systems of sustainable processes.
The main novelty in the 28th edition was undoubtedly e-milanounica, the digital marketplace for textiles and apparel, an important challenge that Milano Unica decided to face by teaming up, establishing a partnership with Pitti Immagine. Reserved for exhibitors and buyers selected by Milano Unica, e-milanounica went online on February 8.
The 29th edition of Milano Unica will be held at Rho Fieramilano (Strada Statale Sempione, 28, 20017 Rho, Milan) on July 9, 10 and 11, 2019.
