Milano Unica opens to the future fashion talents

Fashion schools and technical colleges are invited to discover the creativity and virtuosity of the textile and accessories industry

The 39th edition of Milano Unica welcomes with enthusiasm fashion schools and technical colleges from Italy and abroad. With more than 1,000 confirmations, Milano Unica is ready to welcome students and teachers on a journey of discovery of the creativity and virtuosity of the textile and accessories industry.

To underscore the importance of education and the connection between industry and young talent, President Simone Canclini extended the invitation to visit Milano Unica to fashion schools also on the trade show’s first day, adding a day to the usual last day.   This option will allow approximately 600 students and teachers to attend the Opening Ceremony, giving them an opportunity to participate in the dynamic and creative atmosphere of Milano Unica from the very beginning.

To date, 44 schools registered to visit the trade show. These includes the representatives of two of the world’s best fashion schools according to the Best Fashion School in the World for 2024 ranking, namely the Parsons School of Design in New York and Esmod in Paris.

To emphasize the importance of education in the textile industry, every edition of Milano Unica welcomes both fashion schools and technical colleges. The goal is to extend the invitation to foreign schools and academies to enable students and teachers to explore the creative insights of the MU Tendenze & Sustainability and MU Sintesi areas while enjoying a hands-on experience in a stimulating international context.

The participation of fashion schools in Milano Unica is already an enriching experience and creates a bridge between the textile industry and the new generations of talent. The collaboration with the fashion schools of excellence, both Italian and international, testifies to Milano Unica's commitment to promoting sustainable and innovative growth in the industry.
