Fashion houses are at the core of the economy and of the Milanese identity. Exclusive places, rich in fascination, but with the “throbbing heart of creativity”, normally closed and inaccessible by the public. Up until today.
With APRITIMODA, a unique and unparalleled event, 14 among the most prominent Milanese fashion houses have opened their showrooms to the city and invited guests to discover their hidden world. Under the sponsorship of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development, the Municipality of Milan, the Chamber of Fashion and Altagamma as well as in partnership with Milano Unica, the event inaugurates a new dialogue between the world of fashion and the city of Milan.
On October 21 and 22 citizens, youth and all fashion fans will have an opportunity to discover the true essence of a fashion house, coming into contact with its creativity, beauty and uniqueness of these places representing the throbbing heart of Italian fashion.
The involvement of the city represents for the organizers also an opportunity to make everybody proud of Made in Italy productions and of its relevance, mainly founded on the excellence of Italian textiles manufacturing. This is why Milano Unica supports with great enthusiasm this innovative event: raising people’s awareness is key to understanding and embracing the intrinsic value of high end textiles and accessories is fundamental to realize the true essence of fashion.
