MU Tendenze e Sostenibilità
Sustainable Creativity at the core of the February 2020 edition
The 30th edition of Milano Unica is characterized by an important change in the concept of its Content Projects and, in particular, in what we can consider the two conceptual souls of the event, that have developed over the years: Tendenze and Sustainability.
For the first time since the onset of the Sustainability Project, the proposals presented in this area are integrated within the Tendenze Area, the creative throbbing heart of Milano Unica.
The creative samples of the Tendenze and the ones sent for the Sustainability project will be presented in a shared space in Hall 8, order to highlight the relationship between Creativity, recognized worldwide and representing the basis for Made-in-Italy research and tradition, and Sustainability, the other pillar for innovation and research.
A concrete step to increase the visibility of the products of the exhibitors that produce according to environmentally friendly criteria and processes and concurrently offer a creative proposal in line with the three themes identified for the S/S 2021 Tendenze.
Visitors interested in learning more about the sustainable samples can contact the team of assistants available in the area and ask for the forwarding of the detailed digital cards including all the details of the products on display.
The 30th edition not only represents an important milestone in terms of long-term success, but also provides an opportunity to confirm the completion of a path of research and in-depth analysis, which Milano Unica has long been committed to.
This commitment does not end with Milano Unica’s role in supporting the fashion apparel textiles and accessories industry. As matter of fact, the organizational aspects reflect Milano Unica’s efforts in ensuring an event with an increasingly lower carbon footprint. These include the elimination of plastic tableware in the restaurant area, the use of recycled carpet and, starting from this edition, the installation of a compacting machine for plastic bottles at the Acqua Lauretana booth. Small gestures can make the difference.
