ANNA PIAGGI: PAROLE E TAFFETÀ
MinervaHub participates in Milano Unica with a cultural project curated by Daniela Fedi
She was a great poet of dressing, capable of reading clothes and accessories like books, inscriptions, sources of universal knowledge. Born in Milan on March 23, 1931, Anna Piaggi discovered the immense power of look at just 4 years old, when her mother dressed her in a Dutch costume for a Carnival party. Anna refused to wear anything else in the following days, and at that moment her magnificent obsession with the image artfully constructed through a continuous assembly of special details was born.
Precisely for this reason, MinervaHub, the leading Italian industrial group in the fashion sector specializing in cutting-edge finishes, materials, and processes for high-end fashion accessories, has decided to organize an exhibition on this extraordinary woman, or rather, on her incredible work of collision between the dress, the hat, the shoes, the jewellery, the cane, and what she was living/writing at that historical moment.
In Pavilion 15 of Milano Unica, a selection of the 150 garments curated by Jacopo Tonelli for JATO 1991, a company within the MinervaHub Group, will be on display. The artistic director of MinervaHub then integrated this careful selection with other clothes and accessories recovered from the Anna Piaggi Cultural Association founded by her nephew Stefano and assembled with the help of MirkoTomei, friend and assistant of the legendary lady.
