Profound reasoning underpins the choice of the theme presenting Milano Unica’s Tendenze for Spring-Summer 2026: the awareness that the search for new material opportunities goes hand in hand with the rediscovery of inner harmony.

MU LAND encapsulates exactly this dual perspective, proposing Territory/Land as a physical place of discovery and conquest and of new professional and working environments on the one hand, and as a space for self-discovery on the other.

The theme of MU LAND for Spring-Summer 2026 thus propels the imagination towards unknown territories outside and inside ourselves to rediscover ancestral equilibriums with nature, lost rhythms, harmonies to be reclaimed, meditations to be practised and simple joys to be rediscovered.

In terms of pragmatism, MU LAND treads the territory of sustainability, a cornerstone of Milano Unica since its beginning. Ecology, reuse, upcycling, respect for the environment and human resources are all closely connected to the theme chosen for Spring-Summer 2026 Trends.

«Respecting territory and respecting oneself are closely related notions. LAND is an abstract notion here, almost intellectual, referencing a very specific aesthetic that prioritises simplicity, naturalness, the need to feel good about oneself and others and with what we wear. MU LAND is a reminder of the roots of Made in Italy, rich in history and tradition, as well as a call to rediscover and appreciate our ties with our territory», explained Stefano Fadda, art director of MU.

Therefore, MU LAND's research builds on these concepts and applies them to the creation of natural and technologically high-performance fibres that make the body, mind and spirit feel good, interpreted in the following three themes.

This theme is a strong appeal to the genuine and simple spirit of the countryside with its rhythms associated with those of nature. Here everything is sustainable and sourced locally: raw materials are gathered from nature, from linen to cottons to hemp, and from wood to bamboo to leather.
Fabrics feature bouclé, flocking and devoré work, coarse cloth, lightweight knitwear, knitted macro meshes and many different appliqués, cotton and linen-cotton hopsack weaves.
There is no shortage of three-dimensional borders and lancé brocades, handcrafted weaving and folk motifs.
Shirting materials include cotton with irregular or shaded macro stripes, monocolour or micro flower-print cloth, and Bayadère fabric.
Accessories feature jacquard ribbons with traditional folk designs, linen and cotton ribbons with deckchair stripes, contrasting fringed edging, and crochet for appliqués and trimmings.
Fabric or recycled paper labels sport distressed details, zippers are frayed and coconut buttons reveal floral motifs, while appliqués and embroidery are man-made.
The colours are represented by a palette inspired by natural, raw materials, enhanced through artisan production with neutral, basic tones combined with shades of leaves and newly blooming flowers. Soft colours, subdued and made sensual by touches of coral red and carnal pink.

Meditation, silence, inner peace: ways to replenish energy and positivity. In this theme, each material must convey comfort, a feeling of calm, embracing the body, enfolding it gently.
Among the fabrics are lightly coated cotton with a powdery feel, lightweight silk and wool cloth and satins, cool wool and pinstripes, pleated cotton and lightweight wool, crisp and lightweight mohair and linen. There are also organza, chiffon, shantung and leather effect fabrics. Linen can be treated with essential oils and cotton is infused with silver particles that enhance health and well-being.
Lightweight or heavy, oversize shirts are presented in both monochrome and tone-on-tone colours.
Lanyards, stripes on the bias and voile, nylon belts and edging, drawstrings and tassels complete the accessories.

The colour palette is balanced, composed of primary tones passed through the digital prism to evoke the meditative universe: a nearly psychedelic vibration of intense oranges, electric greens and purplish blues, contrasted by the calm luminous freshness of a genderless blue and pink.

The territory in this theme is urban and underground, linked to avant-garde art and unconventional thinking. Experimentation, technological progress and respect for the environment intertwine to foster new aesthetic scenarios. Subcultures, industrial design, streetwear, electronic music all dictate the codes of a different way of being and dressing.
Fabrics are fluid, fluorescent, vinyl. Designed three-dimensionally, they are light but voluminous, they add movement with fringes and appliqués, flounced tulle, with sequins and metallic inserts, shiny satins or with metallic accents.
Denim includes all distressed types, both classic and laser-etched and braided or in mesh.
Accessories include shiny vinyl piping, long printed fringes, multilayer voile edging, printed tapes.

The colours are identified by a graphic palette in which transparency and shadow accentuate sophisticated and gluttonous pinks. Naïve codes become trashy with bleached pastel hues combined and accentuated by black, adding emphasises to both surface and dye effects.
A technical and innovative blue embellishes streetwear basics.
